Please use the following guidelines when operating The Manipulator.
- Keep in mind the total weight of the unit is 260 pounds.
- Use proper lifting techniques.
- Use the supplied lifting handles that are red in color.
- Use enough manpower to maneuver sufficiently and safely.
- Keep hands away from pinchpoint areas.
- Do not exceed 10,000psi on OTC hand pump.
- OTC handpump and hose assembly are rated at 10,000psi.
However, in field testing it was found that it takes less than
10,000psi to adequately move the rail.
- Loosen needle valve to retract OTC single acting cylinder.
- Removing clips from both outside and inside of rail will ease
operation. This also promotes longer life for The Manipulator.
- When lifting The Manipulator with a crane, position hook or sling
at "vee" clip on handle assembly, which is at the balance point.
